Team USA Shines with New Roster and Routines at 2025 World Cup Debut

The USA Senior National Team made their highly anticipated return to competition after their history-making podium finish at the 2024 Olympic Games, debuting a fresh lineup, head coach, and tech team routine.
On Saturday, March 1st, the team unveiled their new and original peacock-themed technical routine, captivating the crowd from the very start. Their striking lime green suits and deck work, which mirrored the elegance of peacock feathers, were a visual spectacle. Featuring athletes Ghizal Akbar, Jaime Czarkowski, Nikki Dzurko, Natalia Vega, Karen Xue, Daniella Ramirez, Jacklyn Luu, and Elle Santana, the team entered the competition with the second-highest difficulty score of 40.1.
The routine earned them a well-deserved 3rd place finish with a total score of 145.5850, just 4.95 points behind Japan and Spain in the Team Technical routine.
On the final day of competition, Team USA reintroduced their iconic "Sorceresses" Acrobatic Routine, performed by Ghizal Akbar, Jaime Czarkowski, Nikki Dzurko, Natalia Vega, Karen Xue, Daniella Ramirez, Jacklyn Luu, and adding Emma Moore. This version featured seven new acrobatic lifts, including several high-difficulty foot-to-foot lifts that stunned the audience and breathed new life into their previously executed routine. With the highest difficulty score of 19.9, Team USA claimed the Gold with an impressive total of 183.4100, securing top marks in artistic impression and execution.
Looking ahead, the squad is preparing for the second stop of the World Cup in Markham, Canada, from May 1st–3rd. With a fresh new roster, coaching staff, and exciting routines, Team USA is eager to continue their journey in the 2025 season.
