USA Artistic Swimming is gearing up for their first competition since making history at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, returning with a roster full of familiar faces. This includes four Olympic silver medalists and seven talented national team veterans, both from the 2024 Senior and Junior National Teams, under the guidance of newly appointed head coach and Olympian Tammy McGregor

USAAS has much to celebrate, welcoming back many key members while bidding farewell to others who are pursuing different dreams. The 2025 roster sees the return of four Olympic silver medalists: Jacklyn Luu, Jaime Czarkowski, Daniella Ramirez, and three-time Olympian Anita Alvarez. Meanwhile, several members of the 2024 Senior National Team—Ruby Remati, Megumi Field, Audrey Kwon, Calista Liu, and Keana Hunter—have shifted their focus to their education and are continuing to compete at the collegiate level, with plans to rejoin the team when they are ready.

Artistic Swimming legend Bill May remains deeply involved in the sport. He has taken on the role of Technical Controller and is running for re-election to the AQUA Athlete Committee.

Rejoining the team are two standout members from the 2024 Senior National Team: Natalia Vega and Nikki Dzurko, both of whom played key roles in securing the team’s first qualification in 16 years at the 2024 World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

The 2025 roster also welcomes a new generation of talent, with Ayla Barry, Elle Santana, Emma Moore, Ghizal Akbar, Karen Xue, Kenneth Gaudet, and Morgan Woelfel all making the leap from the Junior National Team. These athletes recently made history by helping secure USA Artistic Swimming’s first Junior World Championship Gold in 35 years at the Junior World Championships in Lima, Peru.

In addition to these young stars, another exciting addition to the squad is Ana Martinez. Martinez is a very talented athlete who last competed internationally for Mexico at the 2022 World Championship. She is in the process of transitioning her nationality designation with World Aquatics and is anticipated to be prepared to compete for the US in at the 2025 World Championship.

With a mix of seasoned veterans and emerging talent, the team is hitting the reset button and introducing new routines for the 2025 season— in exception of the iconic ‘Sorceresses’ acrobatic routine, which was first introduced late last season. Team USA will participate in two events at the first stop of the 2025 World Cup in Paris, France, from February 28 to March 2.

The USA squad will debut their new Team Technical Routine on Saturday, March 1, at 9:30 AM (PST), featuring athletes Natalia Vega, Jacklyn Luu, Jaime Czarkowski, Daniella Ramirez, Karen Xue, Elle Santana, Nikki Dzurko, and Ghizal Akbar.

To close the World Cup’s first stop, Natalia Vega, Jaime Czarkowski, Daniella Ramirez, Karen Xue, Nikki Dzurko, Ghizal Akbar, Jacklynn Luu and Emma Moore will perform the awe-inspiring Acrobatic Routine that helped secure a podium spot just six months ago at the Paris Olympics on March 2nd at 9:00 AM (PST).

The coaching staff has made the strategic decision to keep team leader Anita Alvarez out of the first stop of the World Cup to allow her time to adjust to the new routines and shift her focus after completing Basic Military Training. However, the team is looking forward to her return soon.

Looking ahead, USA Artistic Swimming is excited about the future. With this powerhouse team, they are determined to continue making history in the sport in 2025 and beyond.
