Marna Moore, a beloved figure in the world of synchronized swimming, passed away on February 18th, 2025, at the age of 90 in her home in Milwaukie, Oregon. A dedicated coach, official, and judge, Marna was a driving force in the Oregon synchronized swimming community for many years and made significant contributions to the sport both nationally and internationally.

Throughout her career, Marna earned recognition for her commitment to excellence, including receiving the prestigious Lillian MacKellar Distinguished Service Award. Her expertise and passion for the sport influenced countless athletes, and her work as a coach and judge helped shape the future of synchronized swimming.

Marna’s athletic legacy also lives on through her three daughters—Dana, Tracie, and Jodi—all of whom were accomplished synchronized swimmers. Dana achieved the pinnacle of the sport as a gold medalist in the team event at the 1st World Championships in 1973.

Marna is survived by her daughters, Dana, Tracie, and Jodi; her son, Cliff; as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her impact on both her family and the sport she loved will continue to be felt for years to come. Marna Moore’s memory will remain an inspiration to all who knew her, a testament to her unwavering dedication and the love she shared with everyone around her.
