We are immensely proud of those in our community who have fought for this moment. USA Artistic Swimming sends our congratulations to the athletes, the coaches and the fans who have passionately advocated for this reversal.
“This is a tremendous decision for the staff, coaches and most of all the athletes. We celebrate with those tied to all 11 sports, but we are elated that synchronized swimming will continue as a varsity sport. The Stanford program, like all collegiate programs, gives our athletes an opportunity to couple athletic and educational abilities to pursue their life goals. USAAS strives to develop better humans through sport and our college programs are vital in fulfilling our mission,” said CEO Adam Andrasko.
